‘No proper health facility in Mankote, Thandikassi’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Nov 30:Keeping in view the increasing inflow of tourists in Rajouri, Govt under Tourism Development Authority decided to take various steps and to create picnic spots as well as to develop already existing natural beauties which also include the build up of Rajouri garden and Tourism interpretation center cum cafe in the area of Mankote and Chenani Bagla respectively, of Thandikassi belt of Rajouri. These areas are just 4 kms away from city and district headquarters. But even after influx of a large number of tourists from local as well as state and national level, there is no better provision of health facility in this tourism developed areas. Although a health dispensary is being situated in Thandikassi but lack of basic infrastructure and very low quota of medicines present in it makes its importance nil. When Girdhari Lal Sharma, Chander Mohan and a senior political leader Jagdish Lal and Sumit Bhargav of Mankote area were asked about lack of medical facility in their tourism developed villages, they urged the authorities of Health department to either fully empowers the already existing dispensary in Thandikassi or to place a new health centre in the area of Mankote near the famous Rajouri garden. These locals also said that due to presence of Rajouri garden, Radha Swami Satsang Bhawan, Mangla Mata temple, Ziarat Peer Baba, National level famous Shiv Parivar cave, Himalayan Degree College, Tourism interpretation centre etc, hundreds of outsiders visit this belt of Rajouri, but non-availability of better health and care facilities is a major deficiency in the area. |
