| Training programme for teachers on disability conducted | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur, Nov 30: The three days training programme for teachers on disability under inclusive education for disabled intervention of SSA commenced w.e.f. 2.9-1.1-2011 at Boys Higher Secondary School Udhampur and it was inaugurated by principal DIET Kud O.P. Sharma.
This programme is first of its kind in District Udhampur in which about 110 teachers from .eleven education Zones are participating and they are being trained to deal with the children of. the age group of 6-14 years and to ensure their schooling in the district. After the training these teachers will identify the disabled children in their respective zones and all out efforts would be made to enroll them in the School.
The Principal DIET Kud in his inaugural address called upon the teachers' fraternity to undertake this noble cause with sincerity and dedication with missionary-zeal and render their services for the cause of humanity.
He informed that there is a good number of visually impaired, Hearing impaired, Cerebral Palsy, Orthopedic impaired: The School buildings, Constructed under SSA have the facility of Ramps & Railing for the Disabled children and other facilities are brought to School & helped in every possible step.
The DRG member & i/c IED (SFG) Puran chand welcomed the teachers and the sessions were conducted by Virinder Kumar and 'Sat Paul Gupta both DRG members and teachers took keen interest and clarified number of quarries during the first day. Moreover, DIET faintly members Neesu Bala & Kiran Sharma both HOD also delivered lectures on multiple disability
