| Champions Trophy: Ishar XI wins by 54 runs | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 30: Ishar XI today registered a fine 54 runs win over Warriors Cricket Club in the ongoing Champions Trophy T20 Cricket Tournament, organised by Simula Cricket Club at MA Stadium, here. Earlier, after winning the toss and batting first, Ishar XI posted a challenging total of 181 runs. Sohail played power-packed innings of 44-ball 68 runs including hitting 10 boundaries while Atul Sharma contributed 43 runs, including nine boundaries.
Arshad (17), Sandy (14) and Muddasir (13) were other notable contributors to the total. From Ishar XI, Neeraj bagged two wickets, while Bunty, Kabir and Vijay shared apiece each. Later, Warriors batsmen struggled against the duo of Vishal and Prince, who shared five wickets and managed to restrict the side at 46 for four in 8.3 overs at one point of time. However, the team managed to reach a score of 127 for seven thereby lost the match by 54 runs.Neeraj was the top scorer with 37 runs, while Javed, Abdul and Kala scored 16, 13 and 11 runs respectively. From Ishar XI, speedster Vishal was most successful with three wickets while Prince took two. For his super batting Sohail was declared man of the match. |
