| 2- day divisional level science Exhibition inaugurated | | Peerzada calls for building local talent | | JAMMU, January 10 Minister for Education, Hajj and Aquaf Peerzada Mohammad Sayed today said that government is committed to provide ample opportunities to the talented students to enable them to achieve excellence in their respective field of interest. He however, said that this objective could be achieved only with active cooperation of teaching fraternity. Minister was addressing students and teachers after inaugurating 2-day Divisional Level Science Exhibition organized by State Institute of Education (SIE) here this afternoon. Member Legislative Assembly Mr. Yougesh Swaney, Secretary Education, Mr, Khazir Mohammad Wani, Director School Education Mr. D K Vaid and senior officers of SIE were also accompanied the Minister. About ninety models prepared by students of various schools of Jammu division and selected at District level Exhibitions have been put on the Exhibition. These include 40 models by Higher Secondary students, 26 by secondary level students and 29 by elementary level students. Enthusiastic students were seen explaining even minute details about the technology and utility of the scientific models prepared by them to the Minister and senior officers who earlier went around the exhibition. Congratulating the participating students and teachers who have guided them in their scientific ventures, Minister said that the state has no dearth of talent, which should be channelized in the right direction. . He said government has taken concrete measures to provide quality education to the students but there is still much to do. Earlier Minister and other visiting officers went round the Exhibition and observed each model put on exhibition by the students.
