| Mahumangat deputation calls on Dilawar | | | JAMMU, January 10
A deputation of Mahumangat, Banihal led by Ex-Minister and sitting MLA, Mr. Abdual Rehman Veeri today called on Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Mr. Mohamd Dilawar Mir and apprised him about various problem confronting people there. The deputation demanded improvement in drinking water and electricity supply and road communication system with other parts of the state.
They also suggested to link Mahumangat area with Dandwar-Hanjipora by constructing a 10 kms road link. This link road would provide shortest access to Mahumangat Banihal with the Kashmir valley and would also act as an alternate way between Kashmir valley to Banihal, Doda district.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputationists and assured immediate action to redress their grievances. The Minister said possibilities would be explored to link Mahumangat area with ongoing Railway track and the union Minister for Railways would be approached for the purpose.
