As regards the protest of the Lawyers across the State of J&K against taking away of the powers of registration of documents from Judicial Officers and vesting with the Executive Officers (Revenue), the General House was apprised that a delegation of senior members and representatives of Young Layers led by BS Slathia, President Bar Association Jammu along with battery of lawyers met the Minister for Rural Dev., Law & Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohd Sagar on an invitation and also met the Minister for Revenue, Relief & Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla, Minister for Education Peerzada Mohd Syed and Minister for PHE, Flood Control Taj Mohi-ud-din and discussed their grievances in detail against the reported move of the Govt in divesting the Judicial Officers of their powers of registration which are being continuously exercised by the Judicial Officers ever since the constitution of Registering Authority.
