| 6 militants active in Ganderbal: Army | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Dec 1 (KNS): Army on Thursday said that six militants were active in Ganderbal district.
“There are six militants active in Ganderbal district and the Army will continue its operations against them,” GOC Victor Force, Major General Gurdeep Singh told reporters on the sidelines of a function in Kangan area of the district.
He said infiltration was going on from Bandipora district. “Continuous efforts are being made by militants to infiltrate from Bandipora,” he added.
Meanwhile, KNS reporter for Ganderbal Aftab Ahmad was awarded for his unbiased reporting in 2008 and 2010 unrests by the Army. Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Farooq Ganderbali was also awarded by the Army for his contributions in NGO sector.
