| Celebration of World Disable Day on 3rd of December 2011 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, December 1: The Handicapped of Jammu and Kashmir State celebrates 3rd December every year as World Disable Day. The dignitaries are invited and gathering is done under the Banner of J&K Handicapped Welfare Association. .
In the previous celebration of the disable day on 3rd of December a memorandum of demands of the handicapped was given to the dignitaries and the government where in various problems faced by the disabled people were brought in the notice of government. Even during 2010-11, various meetings held with Advisors to Chief Minister with agenda and the same was finalized almost by all.
Inspite of these meetings and promises made nothing have been done so far for the welfare of the handicapped people of the state except dividing the handicapped of the state by allowing Abhinav theatre to blinds, but which should have been given jointly to handicapped and blinds.
That means the policy of divide and rule and the problem faced by both the blinds and handicapped are left without any given heed to them.
They requested Chief Minister to convey a high level meeting, alongwith cabinet and all other high level officers, alongwith. Association members, for taking spot decisions faced by the handicapped people of the State.
