| Post office, 2 shops burgled at Vijaypur | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 1: A post office and two shops were Thursday night burgled at Gurah Salathia in Vijapur, about 23 km from here.
Two to three burglers last night broke into the post office at Gurah Salathia and tried to break open a safe but could not succeed, police sources said.
They then searched some files and left the building without stealing anything, the sources added.
The same group of burglars later stole cash, cellphones, school bags and other items worth over Rs 50,000 from the shop of Randeep Singh.
Sources said they also stole Rs 24,000 in cash and some items from the shop of Sham Singh.
Though police had registered cases in this regard, the accused were yet to be apprehended. |
