| Extension lecture on “pollution prevention day” in R M College | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 2: R M College of Education, Chowadhi Sainik colony organized extension lecture on “Pollution Prevention Day” on Dec2 in the college auditorium.
R P Sharma from Deptt.of Geography and Sanjay Sharma from Deptt. of Environmental Science, University of Jammu were the resource persons on the occasion.
Programme started with the lighting of traditional lamp followed by Sarswati Vandana.
Guests were formally welcomed by trustee of the College Rita Mengi.
She also highlighted the importance of the day and gave some important tips for prevention of pollution.
Sanjay Sharma in his comprehensive lecture stressed on the need for pollution free environment. He also important the house about the present scenario of pollutants in the environment.
R P Sharma made it clear that overpopulation is the basic cause for the environmental hazard. He highlighted the modern techniques to curve general pollution. He also appreciated the organizing such awareness programme in the college for the benefit of students in particular & society in general.
Chairman of the college Rameshwar Mengi also spoke on the occasion and has come when everyday should be made aware about the hazard of pollution to make the environment and life ofthe people comfortable.
All the students of the college and faculty members were present during the function.
Vote of thanks was presented by P K Dhar, principal of the college while whole programme was compared by R S Moza.
