MAM College organises inter-college symposia | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 2The BCA Department of the Government MAM College organised an Inter-College Symposia Competition to commemorate world Computer Literacy Day Celebrations. The topic of the Symposia was “Computer Literacy: Today and Tomorrow”. About 27 participants from more than 15 Colleges expressed their views on the topic. DIG, Abdul Quayom Manhas inaugurated the programme by lightening the traditional lamp. Manhas highlighted the development and importance of Computer Education in the present era. He gave relevant information to the participants about application of Computer in day to day life. He appreciated quality of programme and informative presentation made by the students from different Colleges. Prof Vinod Sharma from University of Jammu who was the Guest of Honour on the occasion also extolled the participants’ hard work and presentation of their papers to their best extent. Prof (Dr.) Ajeet Angral, Principal of the College in his welcome address lauded the efforts of the participants. He impressed upon students to participate in such kind of events to improve their communication skills as well as academic excellence. He also appreciated the efforts of the BCA Department for organizing such kind of programs. He also said that Computer literacy is the need of the hour. Tanvi Bhargav of MAM College, Vinee Mahajan, Govt Women College, Gandhi Nagar and Ambika Sambyal of Govt Degree College, Samba won the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize in the Inter-College Symposia respectively.
