SDSS holds protest against FDI in retail | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, Dec 2:Sarv Dharam Seva Samiti (SDSS) held a massive protest at College Road Kathua against the Union Govt for allowing 51% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail sector of India. The protest was led by SDSS president Robin Sharma along with large numbers of activists, who chanted slogans against UPA Govt. The protesters criticized the Government for the move which is not less than the East India Company of British raj. On the occasion Sharma said that the East India Company had also entered India with a motive to hold the trade but after some time it got entire control over the sovereignty of India and ruled the country for more than two hundred years. He said that the Wall-mart would hit the more than six crore families of retailers by creating the strong monopoly over the retail market of India and could also lead to unemployment.
