NPSU protests Farooq’s remarks against Army | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Dec 2: Reacting to the statement of Dr Farooq Abdullah against army, National Panthers students Union (NPSU) held a massive protest demonstration at Saheedi Sthal Jammu under the supervision of Yogesh Talwar and Devinder Singh. Raising slogans against Farooq Abdullah for his remarks against army saying to detest from internal situations in the state, the NPSU activists said that the ‘anti army remarks’ from union minister Farooq Abdullah are not expectable. Speakers said that Farooq Abdullah is raising question on the work of Army and stressed that role of Army is very crucial in our country and more important in our state. “It is only Army which has made our state a peaceful reason, they said further adding, “Farooq Abdullah must remember when the condition of our state were violated by militant and he and his son Omar Abdullah left J&K and went to London leaving behind the people of J&K.” Speaking on the occasion Partap Singh Jamwal (Provincial President NPSU) said that army is playing a major role in our state as well as society. Jamwal said that the militancy in state is decreased due to presence of army and we should give full power right to work independently. He said that the various operation by the army like Operation Sadbhavna, and tours organized for students and farmers is another important step of army which should be really praised but it is shameful that instead of praising their efforts. Commenting upon recent debate on AFSPA, speakers said that AFSPA should not be revoked unless the army gives its nod. They also said that the security of nation should not be compromised and political leader should first remind the role of army before giving such type of statements. After this NPSU activists burn the effigy of Dr Farooq Abdullah to register their protest. Vikram Partap Singh, Angad Kumar, Rahul Dev, Jughal, Rohit Kumar, Satvir Lal, Rohit Chib, Rahul Sharma, Kamalpreet Singh, Ankush Jamwal, Dalbir Singh Chib, Happy, Deepak Sharma and Rawat Manhas also spoke on the occasion.
