| Skill devp prog on plumbing, sanitary works concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Dec 2:A skill development programme on plumbing and sanitary works concluded at RSETI, Udhampur today. The 30 days programme was sponsored by NABARD.
The programme aimed at providing training to 30 rural unemployed youth from various parts of Udhampur to enable them to take up income generating units or earn wage employment in the market. Manohar Lal, DDM, NABARD, Udhampur was the chief guest on the valediction ceremony. Kishore Sadhotra, LDM, SBI, Udhampur and Amarjeet Singh Raina, Director RSETI, Udhampur were also present on the occasion. After the programme the trainees were also given away the certificates. During the 30 days programme the participants were imparted training wherein all aspects of plumbing and sanitary works were covered in detail that included practical sessions.
Speaking on the occasion, Manohar Lal said that attaining rural prosperity is a part of NABARD's mission and all efforts are being made through such interventions to achieve the Mission.
Kishore Sadhotra., I.DM, SBI, Udhampur appreciated the efforts of NABARD in the field of rural development and particularly in regard to conduct various training programmes for rural unemployed youth and rural women.
