'Connecting India' slogan fails in Rajouri | | | Amit Sharma Rajouri Dec 2: India's largest public sector telecommunication company BSNL with slogan 'Connecting India' has failed to come upto its slogan due to the poor connectivity offered by the public sector tele communication company in the Rajouri district. People in the Rajouri district lament that company is an utter failure in area thoiugh it claimed its service spectrum includes landline, cellular and internet (EVDO + Broadband) facility to people, unfortunately none of these seem to fulfill the needs of the consumers. Atleast once in a week or even many days the whole system dashes down forcing people to suffer a lot as subscribers can neither make nor receive calls and share the SMS. Not to talk of the cellular services even the Landline facility of BSNL is on its low connectivity in the urban and rural areas of the district. Whenever BSNL Distt authorities are asked about such a condition of landline wiring, they have only one excuse 'tendering is complete and private firm will soon start work for betterment of landline wiring.' Time and again locals have held protests against BSNL in Rajouri and even some political parties warned to place a lock on the door of the Department office but it has served no purpose as no betterment has been registered in the overall system of India's largest Telecom provider. |
