| Project Sampark hosts Western Region Bro-Oil companies coordination meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 3: Project Sampark hosted Western Region BRO-OIL Companies Coordination Meeting At Jammu Today.
A coordination meet between the senior management of Oil companies from HPCL, IOCL and BPCL and Chief Engineers and Officers of various Projects in western region was held at Headquarters Chief Engineer Project Sampark today.
The meet was inaugurated by Brig RS Kochhar, DDG (TA) HQ DGBR by lighting of the traditional lamp.
The Coordination meet is an annual affair in which senior management from Oil companies and Chief Engineers and Officers from all the Projects of western region meet and resolve the pending issues for smooth working to ensure uninterrupted supply of Oil, Bitumen, lubricants and grease to the various Projects of the Border road Organisation.
Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is engaged in the construction of roads and bridges of vital strategic importance in the far flung areas of the border districts of India and also in the neighbouring countries.
To carry out these tasks a large number of vehicles, equipments and plants are used. The requirement of Diesel, Petrol, lubricants and grease to run these machines are huge.
The Oil companies namely Hindustan petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) are the major Oil PSUs which provide uninterrupted supply of these products to the Border Road Organisation , thus helping in the development of the nation.
During the meeting problems being faced in timely delivery of Bitumen and other products to far flung areas of the border districts were discussed and resolved amicably.
Further decision to establish Kerb side pumps at various new locations were agreed to by the Oil companies.
Meeting ended with vote of thanks by DDG (TA), HQ DGBR.
