| MP Madan tours Vijaypur constituency | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 3:MP Madan Lal Sharma today conducted hectic tour of Vijaypur Constituency. He visited Barota Camp, Koulpur, Vijaypur and Simbleyali and Thandi Khui villages. Former Minister and Senior Congress leader Manjit Singh and several other prominent Congress leaders also accompanied him.
At Barota camp MP Madan Lal Sharma inspected the aquaduct (water channel) which was damaged during the rainy season.
Manjit Singh briefed Member Parliament Madan Lal Sharma about the problems of farmers of the area due to non availability of culvert.
He urged the MP to get the repair of aquaduct and demanded a new Culvert on the Nallah for the farmers so that they can go to their fields easily.
Minister Manjit Singh also highlighted the other demands of people. MP Madan Lal directed the officers of concerned departments to take necessary action for the repair of aquaduct and construction of motorable culvert on the nallah so that farmers can use it for their tractors etc. He assured the people that he will also approach the army authorities for the construction of Culvert under Operation Sadbhavna. He urged the officers to utilize maximums funds of BADP in the border villages.
Later, MP Madan Lal along with Minister Manjit Singh and other party leaders also visited the homes of Congress workers Bachno Devi, who passed away last week. Tehsildar Ramgarh, BDO Vijaypur, XEN Flood Control, XEN PHE, XEN Rati Tawi Irrigation and many others senior officers also accompanied him.
