JJM protests new recruitment policy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT, JAMMU, Dec 3:The Jan Jagriti Manch (JJM) organized a protest march today in Sanji Morh area. The protest rally was part of JJM’s state wide campaign against the new recruitment policy. The students of Government Higher Secondary School, boycotted their classes and joined the rally in large numbers. Students of several private schools also participated in the rally. The rally went from village Mareen to Sanji More. Carrying placards, banners and shouting slogans-the students presented a spirited resistance. State president of the JJM, Parveen said, “This anti-student policy of the government is calling very widespread discontent among common people. Our effort is to convert that spontaneous anger into an organized resistance movement. We are confident that the peoples unity can defeat the most powerful governments.” He reiterated the JJM’s commitment to fighting against all anti-people policies of the government. Another member of JJM, Serohi Nandan added “The government is trying to confuse people into its lies. The Chief Minister claims that this policy will increase employment – this is a white lie. The government is not creating any new posts – employment will not increase. The government is only decreasing salaries on existing posts.” The members of JJM appealed to all sections to unite against this anti-people policy.
