| Jan presents report on Poonch to CM | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU , December 3 : Pledging to make Poonch a Model constituency in the state, Member Legislative Assembly Poonch Ajaz Jan presented a detailed report of the problems being faced by the people of Poonch to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, RDD Minister Ali Mohammad Sagar, PHE Minister Taj Mohi-ud-Din and Forest Minister Mian Altaf Ahmed.
The report pertains to the Power, RDD, Forest and PHE. Following 48 days extensive tour of Poonch Haveli assembly Constituency, MLA Ajaz Jan has prepared a detailed report to redress the problems of the local people faced by them especially in power, water and forest sectors.
The report copies have been submitted to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, A M Sagar, PHE Minister Taj Mohi-ud-Din and Forest minister Mian Altaf Ahmed regarding power sector, MLA has mentioned that there are about five villages in Bedar, Balnoi, Brari, some part of Aria, Khanetar Top, Bela Bala and Maharkote which are still unelectrified.
MLA has sought special funds to connect these villages with the electricity.
He has also suggested electrifying morhas by solar electricity and more solar lights have been demanded to ensure 100 percent villages electrified.
In the report, MLA has also sought the attention of PHE department to release funds for initiating Water Supply Schemes in Maharkote, Sawjian and Khanetar areas where people are suffering due to non availability of drinking water.
MLA said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has assured full support in regard of electrifying all Poonch villages and morhas while RDD Minister A M Sagar, PHE Minister Taj Mohi ud Din and Forest Minister Mian Altaf Ahmed have also appreciated the proposal and assured all help in this regard.
Jan said that he is also going to prepare detailed reports of all the departments so that his dream of Model Constituency is realized . He thanked Chief Minister and all other minister for helping him to realize the dream.
