| Cop commits suicide following refusal for leave | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, December 3: A constable committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle. Police sources said that constable Shahid Mehmud Bhat having belt number 550 of IRP 11, a resident of Rajouri, committed suicide when he was allegedly refused by his senior officer for leave to attend his own marriage reportedly to be held in December .
The cop was deputed with Dy SP Daljeet Singh as driver at Sainik Colony. His body was taken to GMC hospital for postmortem.
