| Lal Singh held meeting of vigilance and monitoring committee | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA , December 3 :: Member Parliament Choudhary Lal Singh Chaired a meeting of vigilance and monitoring committee at district Kathua. In the meeting physical/financial performance for the year 2010-11 and 2011-12 ending November 2011 of various programmes was discussed.
A detailed review of various works being executed by the concerned departments was done by the chairman. Programmes discussed in the meeting were MGNREGS, Swarn Jayanti Gramin Swarozgar yojana (SGSY),IAY,PMGSY,DRDA, Integrated watershed Management Programme (IWMP), National Land records Modernization programme (NLRMP, National Rural Drinking Water Programme) NRDWP, total sanitation, National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP). Works being executed under MPLADS were also reviewed by Lal Singh.
Chairman on the occasion directed the concerned officers to verify each and every work being executed by their respective departments and see to it that they get competed at the earliest.
He also exhorted upon the Officers to be as transparent as possible in their working and not to compromise on quality in any case.
He also advised the Officers to be sensitive to the demands of the families belonging to the martyrs, unprivileged and BPL families in particular and public in general.
DDC, Kathua Zahida Praveen Khan on the occasion very strictly directed the officers to take prompt action about any erring officials and see to it that works are completed by the earliest.
