| PIL modernization of Jammu Railway Station | | DB arrays IG Crime & Railways, VC JDA and JMC Comnr as respondents | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 3: Responding to Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Citizen Forum regarding modernization of Jammu Railway Station in its infrastructure to be increased in order to meet the need of the people, Court impleaded the Inspector General Railway and Crimes J&K, Vice Chairman JDA and Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation as respondents.
Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing comprising Chief Justice FM Ibrahim Kalifulla and Justice Hasnain Massodi today after hearing RK Chadha who appear in person due to the strike of the lawyers observed that in the interest of the justice and in order to pass appropriate orders for implementation, observed that the inspector General Railway and Crimes J&K, Vice Chairman JDA and Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation impleaded as party respondents.
Division Bench further directed Registry to serve notice upon the impleaded respondents’ returnable by December 17, 2011 and also directed the petitioners to furnish sufficient copies of the petition for effecting service upon the impleaded respondents before the registry.
