Judicial remand to Col and Othr granted till Dec 7 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 3: Special Judge Anticorruption CBI Cases J&K today granted judicial remand to Colonel and 2IC of 35 BRTF allegedly involved in bribery case till December 7, 2011 from today and further directed to lodged them District Jail Amphalla Jammu. Special Judge Anticorruption CBI Cases J&K BL Bhat after hearing CBI and have carefully gone through the case dairy, observed that accused are involved in commission of offences u/ss 161/120-B RPC and 5(2) r/w 5(1) (d) of J&K PC Act which are of the serious in nature. Reportedly tainted money has been recovered and accused have been associated with investigation after they were arrested on November 29, 2011. Court further observed that CBI does not pray for the custodial interrogation of accused whereas bail application of accused is under consideration. Since investigation is incomplete in the bribery case of Rs 1.5 lacs against them and as such the accused are remanded to Judicial Custody till December 7, 2011 from today and directed to lodged them District Jail Amphalla Jammu and court further directed that accused be produced in the Court after the expiry of remand for further. Earlier Colonel Kunwar Vijay Partap Commander of 35 BRTF and Jatinder Kumar Singh, 2IC of 35 BRTF were produced by BD Dandia of CBI/ACB in custody, SK Bhat Senior Public Prosecutor CBI/ACB Jammu has moved application with the prayer for grant of judicial remand to the accused persons
