| Take sarpanchs, panches along in implementation of central schemes: Soz to govt | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Dec 4 (KNS): State Congress President and MP Prof Saifuddin Soz Sunday urged the state government to associate closely with sarpanchs and panchs in the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes.
Addressing a public gathering at Zachildara (Rajwar) in Kupwara Prof Soz said, “Coalition government should associate closely with sarpanchs and panchs to implement centrally sponsored schemes like NAREGA, IAY, Anganwari and other schemes, so that the principle of justice and equity is ensured at the grass roots level.”
“Coalition government must take steps to redeem its pledge to empower sarpanchs and panchs,” he demanded.
Responding to the demands of the area for providing employment to the educated unemployed youth he urged the government to review the recruitment policy with a view to provide more jobs to the educated unemployed youth in a transparent manner and take urgent measures to solve the problems to the best satisfaction of the people.
Identifying local demands Soz assured the people that he would approach the concerned ministers to ensure improvement in electric supply, provision of adequate electric infrastructure, improvement in the provision of irrigation and drinking water facilities.
