JKCCA State Art Exhibition concludes

JAMMU, DECEMBER 04- Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Art, Jammu in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages organized Valedictory function of the State Art Exhibition at Kala Kendra, Jammu today.
State Information Commissioner Mr. G. R. Sufi, was the chief guest on the occasion whereas Showket Zargar, Special Secretary PHE was the guest of honour.
While speaking on the occasion, G. R. Sufi appreciated the role of JKCCA for promoting Art, Culture, Literature in the State and was deeply moved on seeing the creative work of the Painters and Sculptors displayed in the exhibition. He said although we have adequate talent in the state, but the need of the hour is to encourage and promote the budding artists by providing them appropriate platform. He congratulated Mr. O. P. Sharma and his team for doing excellent job in providing opportunity to art lovers to have 60 creative art works.
Mr. Showkat Zargar appreciated the work of artists and advised the organization to organize such more events in future so that artists can get more and more opportunity to display their creative works of art.
While giving details Mr. O. P. Sharma, Director Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts disclosed that the main objective of JKCCA is to give a big platform to the artist community to show their creative work to the art lovers and people of Jammu and Kashmir.
JKCCA is working for promotion, propagation, development of Art, Culture, and Literature in the State for the last eleven years and has organized many State and National Level events in and outside the State to highlight the rich art and culture of the State.
Mr. O. P. Sharma, Director JKCCA further said the Centre has planned many State and National Level activities to give a platform to artists of J&K like “All India Painting Camp” holding of Travelling Exhibition of J&K artists in different parts of the country.
