Rs 30 Cr land compensation distributed in Kishtwar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 4: Collector Land Acquisition (ACR) Kishtwar during his tour to Patnazi area of Kishtwar District paid the land/tree/structure compensation to the rightful owners whose land has come under the alignment of link road Tipri to Patnazi in Village Naali of Bhunzwah Kishtwar. The total compensation which was distributed in last two days by Patwari Abid Mughal is to the tune of Rs 1.12 crore. When contacted Collector Land Acquisition Kishtwar, R K Shavan has said that the team of Revenue officials was asked to camp at Village Nalli so that the compensation to the land owners could be distributed at their door steps. Shavan said that despite shortage of revenue staff about Rs 14 crore was distributed this year among the land owners whose lands come under the construction of roads under PMGSY roads only. He said that beside Rs 14 Cr compensation under PMGSY, around Rs 16 Cr were distributed as compensation of land/trees under various other government run schemes involving land acquisition. He said Rs 30 cr has been distributed as land compensation in Kishtwar till December 4 and hope that with over 25 days left in the month of December, the figure is likely to cross Rs 35 crore mark. Shavan said that in order to maintain the transparency while distributing the compensation, the department directly deposited the money into the personal account of the land owner. |
