JPPF extends support to lawyers’ stir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 4: JPPF in its meeting held at its office today has decided to extend support to the striking lawyers who are fighting for the cause of masses. The members were of the view that existing system of registration of documents in courts is undoubtedly people friendly and there has been no opposition/complaint in public on the issue at any stage till date. The Government dictatorial attitude in issuing orders to shift the registration to executive Tehsildars was totally uncalled for, as the revenue tehildars and staff is already over burdened with their day to day duties and more over they are field officers and an not available in office at every day. Furthermore this switch over shall inculcate more corruption and the sufferers in all respect shall be poor masses. JPPF appealed to Government to reconsider the issue and accede to the demands of sticking lawyers by rescinding the orders immediately. The meeting which was chaired by Pavitter Singh Bhardwaj President was attended to by M.S Katoch (General Secretary), Indeerjit Khajuria (Sr. Vice President), Amrit Magotra (Office Secretary), Avinash Bhatia (Organiser), M.L Sharma (Finance Secretary), Rajiv Mahajan (Press/Media Secretary) and others. |
