Rajourians suffering badly from viral infections | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Rajouri , Dec 4: From past four to five weeks there is no rainfall in maximum parts of Rajouri district due to which viral infections of a number of diseases are on its top. It is obvious that this period of year (Nov and Dec) is generally regarded as dry period due to minimum rainfall pattern. Dryness in the atmosphere cause a breakthrough in viral infections and a large number of humans particularly below 20 are seen affected by these infections. Same sort of pattern has been reported this year also where viral infections are on peak particularly those related to cough, cold, throat itchiness, nausea and red eye. The number of patients under treatment through Distt Rajouri Hospital also reveal that Rajourians particularly childrens are presently badly trapped by these viral diseases. Child Specialist of GDH Rajouri Dr. M K Koul also stated that the number of childrens affected by virals particularly cold and cough is very much high then the remaining period of year. When Early Times contacted some medical experts, they advised to drink water after boiling and to consult a doctor if symptoms of any viral disease occur. It is assumed that the reason for such a situation is no rainfall from past more than one month due to which pollutants, smog, smoke and dust particles are present in large number in atmosphere and are causing the enhancement of viral infections. Some locals demanded authorities of Medical Department that awareness programms on the precautionary measures against these viral infections should be arranged on regular basis and people should also be awared about the ill effects due to use of anti-biotics without the advise of medical expert.
