KPC demands immediate passage of temple bill

JAMMU, Dec 5: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has demanded immediate passage of Kashmiri Pandits Shrine and Temple Bill so that restoration work could be started at the earliest.
In a handout issued here today, veteran KPC leader Kundan Kashmiri said that the passage of bill would be a great confidence building measures and a step towards winning the hearts of the victim community. Kashmiri highlighted burning problems and demands of migrants in general and problems faced by Jagti inmates in particular.
He reiterated demand for consolidated rehabilitation of KP’s in Kashmir valley at the earliest. He also sought immediate enhancement of relief and ration for displaced Kashmiri Pandits owing to price rise and financial crunch being faced by them. Kashmir demanded allotment of quarters at Jagti camp to left out K.P. Migrants of camps like Mishriwala, Purkhoo, Muthi and others, who are suffering badly.
Further addressing the gathering Kundan Kashmiri National President KPC criticized the government and its administration for ignoring and isolating the KP’s and for giving deaf ears to their problems. He further said that it were wrong policies of the state and central governments which have made KP’s. He advised govt. not to take KP’s for granted and to take positive steps to rehabilitate them as per their wishes and aspirations.
KPC Chief, Kundan Kashmiri also highlighted the social problems which have gripped our society and appealed his community people to avoid inter-caste marriages, enhance their population, protect and preserve their languages and culture. Other activists and the leaders of Jagti township who spoke during function include B L Raina, Ramkrishan, Subhash Ji ,T.K.Dhar, Sunil Raina, Kaka Ji Bhan, Santosh Raina, Vinod Kumar, Maharaj Krishan , Subhash Kachroo, H. N Raina, Rajender Bali, Vijay Koul, and others.
