| 19th children’s science congress begins | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 5: Minister of Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla inaugurated 19th children’s science congress at Heritage School.
19th Children’s Science Congress, a programme of NCSTC (Dept. of Science and Technology, Government of India) began on December 5, 2011 at Heritage School Jammu. The theme for this year Science Congress is land resources.
Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla was the chief guest on the occasion. He inaugurated Heritage School Auditorium and interacted with the child scientists and in his address pledged his support to these events as they provide a platform for young minds to showcase their talent. Nearly 250 child scientists, escort teachers, science communicators, evaluators, resources persons from across J&K participated in this event which will continue for two days i.e. December 5, 6 2011
Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Members of the Managing Committee, Heritage School, Vice Principal Dr. Gautam Guha, state co-ordinators of the Programme Shabir Ahmed Shabir from Srinagar and Zaffarullah Khan from Jammu. |
