| Hakeem Hails Kalam’s 9 point Mission for JK. | | | Srinagar, 31 July, 2006. – Minister for Consumer affairs and Public Distribution and Chairman Peoples Democratic Forum, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has hailed the 9 point mission presented by the president APJ Abdul Kalam during his two day visit to the valley and Ladakh region for realizing the goal of restoration of peace and pushing the Jammu and Kashmir towards progress and development. He said the roadmap of nine point formula presented by the president would certainly help the state in achieving the goal of economic development. Mr. Yaseen expressed the hope that the leaders of India and Pakistan would continue the dialogue process to facilitate restoration of lasting peace not only in the Jammu and Kashmir but also in the sub-continent. He said continuation of dialog is in the interest of the people of both the countries. Hakeem also congratulated Jammu and Kashmir High Court for celebrating Diamond Jubilee on completion of its successful 75 years of existence. He said High Court of Jammu and Kashmir has played a vital role in awarding due compensation to the Oct, 2005 earth quick victims of Baramulla and Kupwara districts. This step is praiseworthy, and highly appreciable, the Minister said, adding that he hope the Judiciary would continue to support people in the hour of distress in future as well. |
