Jammu Dec 5:- Like father like son, English proverb aptly fits to the Farooq and Omar the two Abdullahs’ who today lashed on media, while at a function at SKICC Union Minister Farooq criticized media and asked it “to restrain itself on the other hand Chief Minister Omar Abdullah back tracks from his previous statement regarding amendment in Ranbir Penal Code(RPC) in state of Jammu and Kashmir and blames media for blowing the issue out of proportion.
Speaking on the side lines if the Inauguration function at Narwal Jammu, Chief minister criticized media to a query regarding his suggestion about amendment in State RPC Act so that it can be made at par with CrPc. Omar Abdullah said “I haven’t said like this and it was you (Media) during informal discussion make news out of the things--- what I have said is that we have received some suggestions from some quarter and we are thinking on such suggestions, but I have never tell you (Media) that we have taken such decision.” He said that when media makes some informal things, it will create problems for us.
“It is our responsibility to accept and considered the proposal which is going to come our way and after considering the proposal, our responsibility lies on whether we accepted the proposal or not to accept it.” Omar said. He said that they have received a proposal regarding making RPC at par with CrPc and said that as of now the state government hasn’t take any such decision over the proposal. “After due consideration of the proposal, whatever we feel better for the people of the state, we will do that.” Omar Abdullah said.
