Chaman asks govt to fulfil demands of lawyers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 6:Expressing his concern over the problems facing the people because of the strike by the Bar Association Jammu, MLA Prof Chaman Lal Gupta has impressed upon the Government to attend to the demands of lawyers which seem to be quite genuine and justified. The silence of the Government over the issue is not proper because any such like issues could be settled in a democratic manner. In a statement issued here today, Prof Gupta said that it was intriguing that even such small issues are not being settled whereas there are much claims of good governance. Because of the apathy of the Government the general public especially the litigants are faced with serious situation for past many days and the concerned high ups are not taking the initiative to sort out the issues for which the lawyers are agitated especially when this elite class of the society is guided by the arguments. He said that the situation demanded the intervention of Chief Minister if the concerned high ups are failing to find out the solution of the demands being agitated by this important class of the society. The delay in sorting out the demands would lead to more difficulties than any remedy as the lawyers are pressing for rectifying the wrong, what they feel is being done.
