Hyderabad 234/4 against J&K at stumps on day-1 | Ranji Trophy Plate Group-B League Match | | Early times report
JAMMU, Dec 6: Good contributions from BP Sandeep (94 not out) and PA Reddy (78) helped Hyderabad to score 234 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at stumps on day-1 of the 4-day Ranji Trophy Plate Group-B match, being played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal in Hyderabad. Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Hyderabad suffered two early blows as skipper Ravi Teja (5) and one down batsman T Suman (0) were sent back to pavilion cheaply by J&K's opening duo of medium pace bowlers Ram Dayal and Samiullah Beigh. Ram sent back Teja, while Beigh uprooted the stumps of Suman for naught, when Hyderabad score was 17 for 2 in 8.2 overs. Opener Reddy and AS Yadav tried to consolidate the innings, but Yadav was bowled by left-arm spinner Raman Dutta at his individual score of 21 runs and the team's total of 68 runs in 26th over of the innings. A partnership of 106 runs between Reddy and middle order batsman B Sandeep guided Hyderabad to a decent score, before Reddy was trapped LBW by off-spinner Parvez Rasool at his individual score of 78 runs and the innings total of 174 runs. B Sandeep (94) and SA Quadri (23) were at the crease when the stumps were drawn today. |
