| RET TEACHER’S LATHI CHARGED, SEVERAL INJURED | | |

Hundreds of Teacher’s from Rehbare-Taleem forum were lathi charged when they were holding Protest rally against the government for enrolment in Salaries.
The protest rally was started from press Club Jammu, before reaching Civil Secretariat Jammu, the protesters throwned stones on police and shouted stagons against the government. Police rushed the spot and resumed lathi charge on them.
During the stone pelting SHO city Police Station insp. Kuljeet Singh was also injured and was shifted to Govt medical College Jammu for Medical Treatments.
The protestors were demanding for inclusion of Service. Enchantment of wages. During the police lathi charge chairman of all J&K Rehabber-e –Taleem forum Gazi Abdul Aziz, vice chairman Muneer Ahmed Khan, Mehraj Din Malik Zonal president Kupwara were severely bitten by the police officials, and were arrested. However during the lathi charge various patients of SMGS hospital and other local citizen’s were bitten by the policemen’s, Subash Sharma a resident of Palora Jammu, was severely beaten when he was not in condition to move from the Path where he was sitting and suffering from leg fracture.
Zonal President Ret forum Poonch Ajaz Hussain Shah speaking with ‘Early Times’ said being highly qualified and working on Meager Rs. 1500 per month. Keeping in view eth prize sike of essential commodities, it becomes difficult to carry on and we have been diploid of our rights. He also said last year Chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad during our deputation meet assured that with in 15 days the govt would provide the basic salary to the Ret teacher’s but till date nothing has not been come out about Chief Minister’s assurance. Ret teacher from Udhampur Minaxi Said that it is now enough, we have come here to get Justice otherwise we will not able to show our faces to family members it is do or die matter.
Other Ret teacher’s who were injured during the protest rally includes Arvind Sharma of Distt. Kathua, Rajinder Thakur, Zonal President Doda, Ajaz Shah Zonal president Poonch, Meena Sharma Zonal President Kathua, Raj Kumar Sharma of Kishtwar, Rajinder Kumar Educational violenter Udhampur, M. Amin Wani District President Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmed District President Pulwama, etc. were also injured during the protest rally.
Meanwhile Chair mans all Jammu and Kashmir Ret Forum Gazi Abdul Aziz said the protest will continue further till the government announcement.
