8 Media leaders in the reckoning for Impact EARLY | Person of the Year 2011 award | | EARLY TIMES REPORT New Delhi , Dec 7: As 2011 draws to a close, professionals of the media & entertainment industry, which has put in a strong performance during the year, are coming together to honour those captains and leaders from Media, Marketing and Advertising who have made the maximum impact in their professional spheres. On Thursday, 8th December, with virtually the entire media and entertainment industry in attendance, one media leader from a stellar nominee shortlist of eight, will be honoured with the Impact Person of the Year 2011 award in Mumbai. Governor of Punjab, Shivraj V Patil, will preside over the award as Chief Guest at a glittering function at ITC Grand Central, Parel, Mumbai, on Thursday, 8th December, 2011, starting at 7.30 pm. The eight industry leaders who have been nominated by Media, Marketing and Advertising professionals from all over India through Impact magazine are (in alphabetical order) Agnello Dias (Chairman & Co-Founder – TapRoot India), Haresh Chawla (Group CEO, Viacom18), Madhukar Kamath (MD & CEO, Mudra Group), Man Jit Singh (CEO, Multi Screen Media), Rajiv Verma (CEO – Hindustan Media Ltd), Ronnie Screwvala (CEO and Founder-Chairman - UTV Group), Sandeep Goyal (Non-Executive Founder Chairman, Dentsu India) and Vineet Jain (Managing Director - Times Group). The Impact Person of the Year Award was instituted in 2005 by leading industry platform exchange4media Group, under the aegis of Impact, its flagship weekly publication dedicated to the Media, Marketing and Advertising domains.
