| NPSU protests against the fake selection | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 7: National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) today held strong protest demonstration today at Shaheedi Sthal, Jammu against the sports council of J&K.
The protest was led by Yogesh Talwar and Devinder Singh.
Yogesh Talwar said that the council had done back door entries in the selection process. He alleged that the members of the selection committee select their natives and relatives.
Citing an example, he said that one of the player of Soft Ball, who was selected for the school national was actually the failure of the college under JU Roll No.1003851 and he was allowed by the organizing committee to play in school national which is totally fake selection.
Due to these fake selections the sports persons who are capable for it can not make their entry into these tournament.
Devinder Singh said that the system of the sports council is totally damaged.
He charged sports secretary Kiran Wattel as the person behind all the fake selections to adjust his own blue eyed persons.
Many times students protested against these activities of the sports council but the sports council does not lend an ear to the voices of the sports persons.
Aggressive students burnt the effigy of sports Minister and demanded strict action against the person responsible for fake selection.
Rohit Kumar, Satvir Lal, Prikisht Balli, Rahul Sharma, Ankush Jamwal, Shatrujeet Singh Jamwal, Angat Kumar, Vikram Partap Singh, Navjot Bakshi, Kamalpreet Singh, Vriender Kumar, Partap Singh Jamwal participated in the protest.
