FIR demanded against NC cadre roughing up Shiv Sainik | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu DEC 7: Referring to the recent incident of roughing up a Shiv Sainik in Samba who dared Omar on AFSPA issue, the state chapters of Shiv Sena and Dogra Front today demanded registration of FIR against all those roughed up Shiv Sainik during Chief Minister’s visit on the other day. Shiv Sena and Dogra Front members in a media interaction headed by President Ashok Gupta urged the state government to respect the ethics of democracy as ‘Democratic setup’ cannot develop unless the system is respected by all. Gupta accompanied injured persons beaten by NC Workers in presence of Chief Minister, said that Chief minister Omar must realized that no one in Jammu region favours withdrawal of Army, Revocation of AFSPA or withdrawing the order of Disturbed Area in any part of the state. “Recent incident has exposed the faith of State Govt in democratic setup as the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who could not find an answer of query made by Shiv Sena Vice President Rajesh Singh at Samba about pros and cons of revocation of Armed Force Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and the questioner who dared instead of getting a suitable reply was thrashed by NC supporters. The statement said President Shiv Sena Ashok Gupta demanded an FIR against NC workers who are responsible for beating Rajesh leader of Shiv Sena. Gupta said that Omar Abdullah must read the definition of democracy which incorporates discussion, deliberation on a issue and it is not illegal in any manner. Shiv Sena demanded immediate arrest of NC Workers for taking law into their hands and beating Shiv Sena Leaders. If the same is not done Shiv Sena has the capacity to get justice for their workers by all manners.
