HC suspends conviction of Manager IRCON, grants him bail | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 7: The J&K High Court today suspended the conviction of the Manager IRCON alleged involved in bribery case and directed to release the convict on bail on his furnishing personal bond and security bond in the amount of Rs 50,000 each. Justice JP Singh of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing after hearing both the sides suspended the sentence and directed to release the convict Vinod Kumar then Manager IRCON Banhial (who was caught red-handed by the CBI while accepting Rs 15000 as bribe from a contractor) on bail on his furnishing personal bond and security bond in the amount of Rs 50,000 each to the satisfaction of Special Judge Anticorruption CBI Case J&K Jammu and also directed that fine imposed shall be deposit by convict with Registrar Judicial of J&K High Court Jammu Wing. Earlier Special Judge Anticorruption CBI Case J&K Jammu, Court has awarded one year rigorous imprisonment and Rs 10,000 fine. The convict challenged the same before the High Court.
