| HC directs not to affect Asht Buj Sarthal Devi Temple surroundings | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 8: J&K High Court directed to see the construction of Sarthal-Doda Road does not in anyway affect Asht Buj Mata Sarthal Devi Temple and its Dharamshala. It further clarified that this order shall remain in force till next date.
Justice JP Singh after hearing petitioner Krishan Chander in person issued notice to State of J&K through Principal Secretary PWD, CE PMGSY, District Development Commissioner, SE PMGSY and Xen PMGSY Divisional Kishtwar and directed respondents to see the construction of Sarthal-Doda Road does not in anyway, affect Asht Buj Mata Sarthal Devi Temple and its Dharamshala and clarified that this order shall remain in force till next date.
It is to mention that a petition was filed by residents of Village Agral Tehsil & District Kishtwar against the construction of Sarthal-Doda Road and to seek direction to the respondents not to cut the rocks over which Asht Buj Mata Sarthal Devi Temple, Dharamshala and the village are existing as it will definitely caused damage to the structure and land appurtenant.
