Drug peddler arrested, 5000 capsules recovered

Jammu, Dec 8:Jammu Police have arrested an inter-state drug peddler from Resham Ghar Colony in Bakshi Nagar area and recovered 5000 intoxicant capsules from his possession.
According to police sources, during patrolling duty, police party of Police Station Bakshi Nagar saw a man under suspicious circumstances having a bag in his hand who was on his way from Maheshpura Chowk towards Resham Ghar Colony. Police stopped him and subjected him to questioning and checking. During search of his bag police recovered 5000 intoxicant capsules (3000 Pyremol Spasm and 2000 Pyrevon Spasm). Police immediately arrested the drug peddler identified as Sham Lal of Ward No 6 Nowshera, district Rajouri and seized the capsules.
During further questioning the drug peddler disclosed that he brought the consignment of intoxicants from Punjab State for selling among the youth of local area.
A case FIR no. 170/2011 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act at police station Bakshi Nagar has been registered against him and further investigation was on.
