| Civil Defence Warden Office inaugurated at Alamgari Bazaar | | | Srinagar July, 31 – With a view to face the challenges of Disaster Management, the Civil Defence organization have decided to extend its warden services to villages and mohallas. As a sequel to this, Divisional Level Civil Defence Warden Office was inaugurated at Alamgari Bazaar today in which a large member of citizens besides members of Civil Defence, and volunteers attended. Inspector Gen. of Police, Civil Defence Mr. Navin Aggarwal in his inaugural speech advised the citizens to take part in the Civil Defence activities and enrole themselves in the Civil Defence organization enabling to utilize the facilities and services available. Mr. M.A.Danposh, Commandant Auxiliary Police Ist Bn. highlighted the Civil Defence activities and achievements made sofar. Shri A.H.Baigh. Deputy Controller Civil Defence in his welcome address highlighted the aims and objectives of the organization and explained as to how common people will be benefited by adopting Civil Defence activities. On this occasion local senior citizens headed by Hakeem Ghulam Mohammad former Dy. Mayor, SMC thanked the department and Government for establishing the Civil Defence Divisional office in down town locality and assured full co-operation to the Organization in giving furtherance to the activities. |
