Photostat shopkeepers to charge Rs. 1.50 per print for A4 Size

JAMMU, DECEMBER 08- Acting on a consumer complaint, the Deputy Controller Consumer Protection, Department of Legal Metrology V. S Sambyal summoned the representatives of Photostat-cum-STD operators, Computer typists association Jammu in his office and held deliberations with the representatives about the issue. After taking into consideration the submissions of the Photostat association and consumer compliant, the Dy. Controller Consumer Protection directed the association representatives and its President V.P Sharma to roll back from its existing rate of Rs. 2.00 per print of A4 size to Rs. 1.50 in the interest of general public to which the association members agreed. Accordingly, association representatives directed to inform their members also about the decision taken.
Henceforth, all the shopkeepers are directed to adhere the decision and display and charge new rate in their trading premises. Falling which the market checking squad shall initiate legal proceedings against the defaulters.
