| New year eve- DM issues advisory to organizers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, DECEMBER 08- It has come to the notice of District Administration that various Clubs/ Hotels/Banquet Halls etc. are organizing parties on New year eve in their premises on 31 December, 2011 where huge gatherings are expected.
To ensure safe, secured and enjoyable event, the District Magistrate, Jammu issued directions to the organizers that they shall obtain prior permission from District Administration, Police and Traffic Department before organizing such events, otherwise it shall be deemed to be an illegal assembly, there should be no noise pollution and no violation of Traffic Control Act, organizers should ear mark suitable place within their premises for parking, keeping in view the security scenario, they will help to keep the road open.
Moreover, they should not raise any provocative slogans/ speech which may hurt the sentiments of particular community/ religion and create law & order problem, ensure that the quality of the programmes adhere to the social norms, keep Medical Aid available on the spot to meet any emergency, number of invitees be restricted to its reasonable capacity to avoid any traffic congestion and any untoward incident adding that all electricity connections should be got checked in advance by the experts and ensure a functional fire fighting equipment in place to meet any eventuality.
The organizers shall be held personally responsible in case of any mismanagement on the occasion.
