EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 8: Ian Dev Singh slammed a swashbuckling century (168*) and helped J&K to put decent score of 365 on board and gain a much needed first innings lead of 54 runs in the Ranji Trophy Plate Group-B League match at Uppal in Hyderabad today. Hyderabad were 23 for no loss in their second innings at stumps on day-3 today. Earlier, resuming from an overnight score of 153/3, J&K rode on a mammoth century by Ian Dev Singh and supported by skipper Hardeep Singh (49), Aditya Pratap Singh (36) and Samiullah Beigh (33) to score a formidable total of 365 runs. Ian simply stole the show today by hitting 14 delectable boundaries and two massive sixes in his marathon knock. It was his third ton in Ranji trophy this season as he has already struck back to back centuries against Assam and Jharkhand at home. Lalith Mohan was the wrecker-in-chief in for Hyderabad as he scalped six wickets by giving away 109 runs in his 28.3 overs, while SA Quadri, Anwar Ahmed and B Sandeep claimed one wicket apiece.
