DYSS U-19 girls drub Jammu distt by 6 wkts | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 8: In the second practice match of the ongoing pre-national coaching camp, the selected team of the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), which shall be participating in the forthcoming 57th National School Games at Jammu, today drubbed Jammu district team by six wickets at Mayank Goswami Academy, here. Earlier, batting first, Jammu district were bundled out for a paltry total of 87 runs, with Naina (17), Sanjogita (9), Surekha (7) and Aina (7) being the main contributors. For DYSS, Rubia Syed and Zainab took 2 wickets each, while Sapna Jamwal, Heena and Ruksara claimed one wicket apiece. DYSS, in reply, chased the required target in 13.2 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Heena Kouser was the top scorer with 25 runs, while Rubia and Rohini Bharti contributed 21 and 16 runs respectively. Ruksara and Payal also chipped in with 10 and 8 runs respectively. For Jammu district Meenu took two wickets, while Surekha and Shallu claimed one wicket each. The DYSS team is being accompanied by Rajesh Dhar, Anju Gupta, Abida Khan and Sadiq Hussain as coaches and managers, while Sanjay Pradhan is also assisting these officials for smooth conduct of the matches.
