| Bhim Singh’s book ‘Motorcycle Par, Mission Aalmi Aman’ released | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Dec 8: Salman Khursheed, the Union Minister for Law and Minority Affairs released Bhim Singh’s adventure-full Urdu book, ‘Motorcycle Par, Mission Aalmi Aman’ late last evening at India International Centre, New Delhi describing Bhim Singh as man of universal peace, a crusader for justice and hope of the oppressed and suppressed, transcending the boundaries of religions and nations.
Salman Khursheed while releasing over 1000 page book on motorcycle on the longest peace mission from India to Europe, the Middle-East, Africa, Latin America, Lapland and Siberia, the Union Law Minister said that in the era of cold war, Bhim Singh represented India’s inspiring mission of peace to the global leadership in its real socialistic and democratic political philosophy in the sixties (1967-1973) initiated by great freedom fighters in this country.
Khursheed praised steadfastness and the passion with which Bhim Singh has spread the message of peace, democracy and equality all over the world. It was a unique adventure combined with India’s peace mission around the world on two-wheels at his impressionable young age.
The Law minister further commented that Bhim Singh is among the first authors of the concept of PIL in the country at a time when this sphere of PIL was not even born in the jurisprudence of the country.
The Law Minister admired the battle which Bhim Singh has pursuing for the promotion of human rights and democracy at different levels.
Comparing him with Che Guevara he said Che Guevara drove his motorcycle in Latin America whereas Bhim Singh did it all over the world.
The Union Law Minister praised the Panthers Chief for his lasting commitment to welfare of mankind and his passion to secure justice and equity to every human being.
He narrated several instances of his company with Bhim Singh in Iraq and Palestine.
M.M. Ansari, one of the three interlocutors in his brief intervention admired the author of the book saying that he had an opportunity to read most of the books
Bhim Singh has written on J&K, Iraq, Yugoslavia and other areas.
He admitted that the proposals which were made by Bhim Singh in his book and otherwise during their interaction with him on J&K have been given due consideration and cannot be ignored in the long run.
