Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 8: The government of Jammu and Kashmir is all set to tress pass the stay order of Honorable Jammu and Kashmir High Court, as the functionaries of the government has reportedly sent the fudged seniority list of KAS officer to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for final approval. According to the reports, the KAS seniority list which was stayed by Jammu and Kashmir High Court on a writ petition filed by SC/ST/OBC confederation of J&K Unit Jammu and several other KAS officers who were at the receiving end. When contacted Mr. Kalsotra president SC/ST/OBC confederation said that the government move if any is against the violation of High Court order has criticized the Govt`s fresh move to operate the disputed KAS Seniority list. He said that the disputed Seniority List is already under challenge before Hon`ble High Court & has been stayed but through blue eyed officers close to the power corridors are again manipulating to get the list operated by denying legitimate right to the officers of reserved categories who otherwise are seniors as per the tentative seniority list. He said that his organization have also came to know about this fresh move on behest of some blued eyed officers posted in civil secretariat. He said that the Govt. has already been requested to protect the rights of the senior reserved category officers but in vein. Mr Kalsotra said that if this proposal is approved the association will cum on roads and the officers responsible for manipulation shall be entirely responsible. Out of the proposed 100 officers around 20 SC/ST/OBC officers are being denied their promotions by pushing them to the bottom of the seniority list.
Mr. Kalsotra has further stated that when the final verdict in case is likely to cum with in week`s time in the court, the Govt. instead of taking the action over the matter should wait for the final words from the honorable High Court.
It is pertinent to mention that the confederation had launched state wide agitation in last three months and also got the seniority list stayed but some officers are manipulating to snatch the rights of the officers belonging to reserved categories and out of the proposed 100 officers no due representation to SC/ST/OBC has been given. The association has appealed to the Chief Minister not to Okay the proposal which is against the policy of reservation and KAS rules in the state.
