| DM imposes restrictions on extraction of RBM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, DECEMBER 09-Taking serious note of a number of complaints regarding illegal extraction of River Bed Material (RBM) from the River Ravi, District Magistrate (DM), Kathua, Ms Zahida Parveen Khan in exercise of the powers vested in her under section 144 of Cr.P.C ordered that the imposition of section 144 Cr PC in the one Kilometre upstream and One Kilometre downstream including the inside area from the Barrage, and Railway Bridge thereof.
Anybody violating the order shall be prosecuted under law.
The order shall remain in force for a period of two months from the date of its issuance.
