| DC Jammu discusses Christmas arrangements | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, DECEMBER 09- To discuss the arrangements for ensuing Christmas festival celebration, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu Mr. Sanjeev Verma convened a meeting of senior officers and members of Christian community here today.
Among others, AC (G) Vivek Sharma, XEN PHE Mr. Ashok Gandotra, XEN PHE City N. N. Raina, Superintendent of Police South Mr. Rajeshwar Singh, AC (R) JMC Charandeep Singh, Deputy Director CAPD Jammu, AEEs and other senior officers besides representatives from Christian community attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held on various issues related to Christmas arrangements. The DC directed the officers of various departments to ensure full cooperation and coordination with each other for the success of coming festival days.
The meeting was told that JMC shall ensure sanitation, while PHE department was asked to make adequate water supply at the main venues for the convenience of the people. The Deputy Commissioner also instructed Power Department to ensure proper lighting arrangements in addition to un-interrupted power supply to all the Church in Jammu city though out the festival days.
Mr. Verma enjoined upon the concerned departments to make adequate medical facilities, adequate security arrangements and traffic arrangements, parking arrangements, blacktopping of approach road to various church, provision for extra transportation for the convenience of the people during the festival days.
